Kernow Conservation
We are a non-profit community interest company with big ambitions. We work in partnership with other conservation organisations, landowners, and local businesses to restore wildlife and biodiversity in Cornwall.
Our latest Crowdfund campaign has finished! We managed to raise just shy of £20k, which will allow us to launch our project in January.
It is only 39% of our overall target, so our fundraising doesn’t stop here.
This is our biggest and most ambitious project to date so if you’d like to contribute, you can still do so via the Crowdfunder link below.
A brand new project page as well as details about our first beaver site tours will be online after the new year so watch this space for more.
We are most well-known for our work restoring the UK-endangered water vole in Cornwall through carefully managed reintroductions.
We are also working hard to bring the osprey back as a nesting bird in Cornwall by installing and monitoring artificial nest platforms.
Our first wildlife garden project is the Community Wildlife Garden in Ponsanooth. Commissioned and supported by Ponsnooth Parish Council, as part of Cornwall Council's Community Levelling up Fund, the project aims to educate, engage and empower volunteers from the local community to enjoy, maintain and, eventually, take ownership of their local wild space.

Our ongoing project work and impact monitoring would not be possible without community support.
